An Open Call to Network Marketers: It’s Time To Raise the Bar On Our Business Building Efforts

Recently, a major network marketing company folded due to the scrutiny of the attorney general’s office in the state in which they operated, as well as heat coming from the SEC. While I don’t believe the founders of the company set out to intentionally scam people, they were unable to handle the explosive growth they experienced in a short period of time, and they were no longer able to operate within the strict rules and regulations of a legal network marketing company.

It is still a gray area where they went wrong and what kind of tactics were used to get the company to close. So much so, in fact, that legal representatives are investigating the matter further to see if there is a case to re-open the company.

Who knows what will really happen, and if it does re-open, it could take years. I’m sure it will be a very different company with a different compensation plan at that point.

That being said, I must state that what I observed in the aftermath was almost as tragic as the initial travesty of the closing of the company, and it really angered me to see the predatory behavior of my fellow network marketers. Let me paint the picture for you.

When this company shut down, many people lost a lot of money, and thousands more lost their dream of getting to a place of financial comfort and abundance. These people were hurting. They were vulnerable. They were wounded financially, mentally and spiritually.

First, the mud-slinging began. While the company was still open, people were just waiting for them to fail. Network marketers from many companies publicly maligned this particular operation. Was it envy? Was it hoping to tear people away from there and bring them into their own company? Was it waiting to prey on the fallen? Regardless of their reason, they were waiting for and predicting that moment to come.

When that moment DID arrive, how the naysayers rejoiced! I find this so terribly sad. As a blogger on the topic of network marketing, I write to help other network marketers become successful, regardless of the company they are in. If they choose to join me in my businesses, that’s great. However, I am here to help the masses no matter what network marketing company they are in.

Regardless of whichever company we choose to align ourselves with and build our dream business, aren’t we all working to achieve the same thing? Shouldn’t we stick together and support each other? Unfortunately, this did NOT happen. Once this company DID fold, the “I TOLD YOU SO” rhetoric began, and it was thick, heavy, and hurtful. People used this event to say, “This won’t happen to us, OUR company is solid, OUR company has the best products, OUR company has the best compensation plan ever seen… ” You get the picture. They used it to make themselves look better.

Beyond that were the predators, the people waiting to swim in the sea of failed network marketers. I was privy to some emails and social media posts that were sent out by other network marketers to these people who were victims of the closed opportunity. These emails were written in such a way that they put down the leaders, mentors, and business builders of the folded industry, they put down the company and its product/service, and then they went on to tell the network marketers who may very well have lost everything that THEY have a solid business opportunity with a compensation plan that compares to no other. It was disgusting to read, and the posts/emails were too numerous to count.

Isn’t it time we raised the bar? Isn’t it time we run our businesses with more professionalism than that? Yes, business – whether it is a traditional or a network marketing business – can be very cut-throat and competitive. Does that mean that we have to perpetuate the model? Why can’t we create a whole new reality for network marketing?

I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of the negative stigma that often comes along with the network marketing industry. I want this to be a recognized and accepted business opportunity. I want more people in this country to have other options besides working 40-plus hours per week for somebody else for the majority of their adult life, only to struggle in retirement. I want people to have the option to spread their entrepreneurial wings without having to take on the massive financial risk of opening a traditional business (start-up costs of a network marketing business are minimal compared to traditional business models). I want people to be able to get out of debt and enjoy their lives while they are still young and vibrant, and with enough energy to truly do so to the fullest extent.

How can we do this?

Let’s stop the sleazy door-to-door salesman or used-car salesman-types of tactics. No offense to used car or door-to-door salesmen and women meant, but that is the perfect example of the need to shake a negative image.

There are great ways to market your business both online and offline. Study marketing and become a master of your business. One way I recommend you do that is through information marketing. Become an expert in your field and disseminate information to the public. Once you position yourself in this way you will stop selling; instead, people will seek you out.

There are many ways to do information marketing. You can provide free reports, perform webinars, write a blog, just to name a few. Add some good technology to your marketing efforts and track your effectiveness – I have written several articles on my blog about this idea. Do a little research, and in no time you can do it yourself.

I myself follow a system that I discovered in my own research to become a more effective network marketer. In addition to it being comprehensive and multi-faceted in its approach, I found it to be ethical and easy to follow.

When speaking to people, stop pretending to “share” an “amazing opportunity” with them. You are not sharing anything. You are selling. Admit you are in sales, embrace it, and sell your product or service (as well as the business opportunity) with confidence that you are providing them with the best. If you don’t feel that is true, get out of your company and find a product or service that you can sell and still sleep at night, as well as a compensation plan that is understandable and fair. Also, make sure the business is duplicable – in other words, people can take the exact same steps to become successful as the ones who brought them in, and everyone else before that.

I beseech you, fellow network marketers, stop competing with each other! We are networking to work together as a team. Even if we are in different companies, we are still on the same team with regard to our business structure. Let’s be ethical, treat each other with kindness, and help each other out. There are enough people in this country – heck, with international companies, there are enough people worldwide – who are not yet in network marketing. Let’s bring them in, ethically and with confidence, to the best possible option available to develop a business for themselves in today’s harsh economic climate. Remember, it is in giving that we recieve! You don’t get something for nothing. When you give of yourself, that’s when wealth will flow easily to you.

What Constitutes A Good Network Marketing System?

Every month tens of thousands of people invest their hard-earned money to join a network marketing company with the hope of earning a few extra dollars working part-time from the comfort of their homes.

By the end of their third month in business, 70% or more pull the plug and quit; often in worse financial shape than when they started. That’s a sobering and unfortunate fact. It’s also a fact that it doesn’t have to be that way.

The most important difference between those who fail and those who succeed in network marketing, is that successful people have found, and applied, a good network marketing system that makes the work involved much easier and more efficient.

A Network Marketing System is More Than Tools

To be sure, effectively using a variety of marketing tools is essential, but a collection of tools is not a marketing system.

A good network marketing system will employ a number of different tools in a fully integrated series of processes designed to achieve a measurable result.

As an example, many network marketing companies provide DVDs or access to an online video presentation or webinar that has an awesome presentation about the company and the products to help distributors enroll their prospects in the business.

Handing out the DVDs or sending people you know to the webinar is a very good way of introducing them to the opportunity and generating interest. But you need to do more. By themselves they do not constitute a network marketing system.

No matter how good the information is in those presentations, people are not going to enroll themselves. All the tools do is help inform them about the products and the business. Your primary goal in using the tools is so you can follow-up with people who want to learn more about your products and opportunity.

You must also have a system in place for finding other people who may be interested in your products or opportunity. If you are like most people, your list of friends, family and acquaintances is too limited to build and maintain a successful network marketing business.

You also need a method to collect their information so you can expose them to an informative presentation about your business. And then you need a way to follow-up with them after you have them on your list.

In short you need to integrate your tools into a network marketing system that allows you to generate leads, inform those leads about your products and opportunity, and follow-up with them so you can eventually enroll those that are interested into your business.

The Essential Elements of a Network Marketing System

A system can be defined as a sequence of processes designed to produce a particular result. The important processes are generating leads, informing, prospecting and enrolling.

Lead Generation

Priority number one for a good network marketing system is generating leads. Without leads you won’t have need of the other steps. Lead generation involves a number of coordinated steps as outlined below.

Targeting

You start the lead generation process by performing keyword research using market analysis tools to find a target audience with an expressed need for your products, services or opportunity. You might be looking for “stay at home moms” who want a way to make extra money from home, or if you market weight loss products, someone looking for a way to lose weight.

By using a search engine keyword research tool like Google Keyword Planner, you can establish which words and phrases people are using to find information in your selected niche. In the example of someone looking for ways to lose weight, they might be typing words like “diet”, or “how to lose weight” into their search bar.

You can also use the keyword planner and other tools like Market Samurai to assess how much competition there is for those keywords. You need to know how many web sites, blog posts, articles and perhaps ads are competing for those keywords.

Your goal is to find words or phrases that are closely related to your product or opportunity and are used frequently in online searches each month. Competition should be moderate to low.

Creating Content

You need to create content and then ensure that it is seen by your target audience.

Write articles or shoot videos in which you discuss the problems people are hoping to solve and the way in which your products or business can help them. The articles have to be relevant and provide good information.

You then submit your articles to various article directories, blogs and social media sites and publish them on your own blog or website. However, there’s more to this process as well. You have to get your material noticed by the search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo.

Attracting Attention

To get noticed, your content has to appear on the Search Engine Results Page (SERP) for the various search engines. You want to get onto page 1 of Google, preferably in the top three. Optimize the content using the keywords you selected in order to show the search engines that your article is directly related to the searches being made.

Then you have to promote the article, video or other content using various off page optimization tools and techniques. That is basically accomplished by having many other websites linking back to your article or backlinking.

Collecting Contact Information

There’s one more critical thing you must include if you are to generate leads. Instruct your visitors as to exactly what they have to do to get further information. You must make it easy for them to give you their contact information.

Include a link to a capture page that allows them to leave their name, email address and perhaps phone number so you can send them to the information about your products, services or opportunity.

You now have a lead! But now the real work starts. A good network marketing system will now move you into the prospecting process aimed at converting leads to sales and distributors.

Following-up

Direct leads to the information and continue to correspond with them via email and/or by telephone. You continue to correspond with them via another important network marketing system tool, your autoresponder system.

Maintaining contact over an extended period allows you to establish a relationship with your leads and begin the prospecting process to determine if they are good candidates for your business.

Mastering the follow-up and prospecting stages is critical to network marketing success. Done correctly, it will convert many of your leads into paying customers and team members for your opportunity.

By now I think it should be pretty clear that it is essential to have a series of tools that work together as an integrated system in order to have success in network marketing.
Your network marketing system is a step-by-step process from the research to lead generation and onward to prospecting and enrollment. If you miss a step or don’t have the proper tools, chances of success are limited.

Consider A Turnkey Network Marketing System

You can spend a good deal of time and money purchasing marketing tools, learning how to use them and building an integrated system from the ground up. That’s one way of doing it.

A better approach that will take your business to a higher level in a shorter time is to utilize an integrated network marketing system that has already been tested and shown to produce the required result.

Use a system that other very successful people have used to produce the results you want. Follow the leaders because success leaves clues. Find out what they have done and just duplicate.

For my recommendation on a tested and proven system be sure to check out my personal information below.

I’m Terrence Neraasen. I work from home as an internet and network marketer. I struggled and spent a lot of time and money learning what it takes to be successful in this business. The traditional approach to network marketing never appealed to me, so I turned to the internet early in the game and found what I was looking for. My goal is to help you over that hurdle as well.

Building a network marketing business is neither simple nor easy, regardless of what many leaders tell you. The fact is most people cannot create a significant income by relying on their initial warm market. Lead generation and building a new and larger “warm market” is essential. That’s where most individuals who are new to the game fail. They don’t know how to create leads and convert them to sales. They run out of enthusiasm and money before they get their business off the ground.

Without any doubt if you are an advocate of financial freedom or a person open to new business opportunities, chances are you have heard about multi-level marketing (MLM), direct selling, or network marketing business opportunity and your problem is to know the best network marketing company to join as there’re varieties to choose from.

You may probably have an image firmly planted in your mind of what network marketing is, based on the seemingly endless debate over whether these companies and programs are legitimate business opportunities or not. You may have been in the industry for some time, shifting from one company to the other searching for the best company to join.

This article will give you the real scoop about network marketing and how to know the best company to join in MLM. I strongly believe that the entire industry is poised for explosive growth and can be one of the most significant solutions to any country’s youth unemployment crisis. The biggest problem in the industry is amateur networkers coming into the industry without proper training about network marketing and the leaders in the industry are not doing much to train the upcoming and aspiring network marketers.

Those who are in the industry are not willing to invest in their education to know the right way to do the business, that is why “The beauty of MLM is the low cost of entry and the bad thing in MLM, is also the low cost of entry. People fail to invest in their education once they join any MLM company and expect to be successful in the industry and once they are not getting the result they anticipated thy move to another company because the money they spent in joining the previous company is something they can forget without a fight.

If they spend a fortune to start it, they will do everything possible to make it work; they will invest in their education, give their time because the money involves cannot go down without them looking for ways to recover it. But in network marketing they expect more from the little investment and if they don’t see that in few weeks they will start screaming SCAM. One thing network marketing does is to expose you to your weaknesses and require you to address them through education or you quit. Many leave the company once that weaknesses showed up and label that company fake.

In every company business presentation the presenter will say they are the best and their distributors will go out to say the same to their prospects. I will not blame them for that as any company that puts money in your pocket is the best company to you. To be successful in any network marketing company require a renewal of your mind, you must have a positive mental attitude towards network marketing.

I cannot list a number of Good network marketing companies, below are some of the factors that make up a good network marketing company and it will help you choose wisely.

Why Consider Network Marketing As Our Home-Based Business?

We are not asking that anyone get involved in network marketing and change everything immediately. We are however, suggesting that people consider the addition of the right home-based Network Marketing business starting their journey of financial success in a different direction. Having a home-based business is not a new concept. Network Marketing is not a new concept. Having a home-based Network Marketing business is not a new concept. However, never in the history of our country has the concept been so prevalent and is fast becoming the norm rather than the exception!

The reason is very simple. Our concept is providing American’s with what they want; control of their time and financial opportunities proportionate to their abilities and effort.

With the right home-based Network Marketing business, one has all of the benefits and advantages of a home-based business and unlimited financial opportunity usually associated with a large traditional business.

Employees and Debt
Rather than having several employees working with other employees under one roof for the benefit of someone else’s company, with Network Marketing, we have a bunch of home-based business owners, working under their own roof, networking with other home-based business owners, all working for their own companies. This concept provides an incentive and opportunity of multiplication and duplication for each home-based business owner equal to or greater than that of the owners of traditional businesses with multiple employees and locations, with out all the hassles associated with traditional businesses! It requires no debt, no employees and no complicated administrative procedures. With Network Marketing, we work with and for other people and other people work with and for us.

What is Network Marketing?
When you purchase a product or service, usually over 50% of the retail cost is associated with marketing! That would be any cost associated with getting someone to buy the product plus any cost incurred once it is produced by the factory. With Network Marketing, the products are shipped directly to the consumer from the factory. Those monies normally associated with marketing are paid to several home-based Network Marketing businesses owners which had previous network marketing or internet marketing influence in the referral of the customer!

Are the products less expensive?
Most customers will not buy inferior products and there is limited benefit to paying a little less for a product on the short run. Let’s assume that you sold yourself a product, ordered it from a Network Marketing company and in return the company paid you a 50% commission or rebate. In effect you’ve saved 50% on the products you purchased. That may save you a few dollars. Although saving money is important, the concept of earning money on products that we are already buying is far more exciting.

The concept is to redistribute the marketing dollar!

Imagine having a network of thousands of customers purchasing quality products or services each month where you receive a few dollars per month for each customer! Remember, these are products or services that we are all already buying, or should be, and this is money that is normally paid to others. In essence, the simple process of referring other customers who also refer other customers to a Network Marketing company, presents an opportunity for a redistribution of the wealth to you and I, the consumer!

Traditional Marketing versus Network Marketing
A traditional company would typically have a Vice President of Marketing with several regional managers reporting directly to them. Those regional managers would recruit, hire, train and manage several area managers who, in turn, would each recruit, hire, train and manage several sales representatives. The sales representatives are then responsible for selling the company’s products or services.

Plotted on a piece of paper, the shape of the traditional organization would look like a triangle or pyramid. It’s quite obvious that the higher the level the higher the pay and that there is less room at the top for advancement. It is also evident that it is mathematically impossible for each and every sales representative or employee to rise to the top regardless of how good a job they do!

The Difference
First and foremost, Network Marketing is different. Each individual starts at exactly the same level – at the top of their own organization, has exactly the same opportunity as everyone else and is compensated in directly proportion to the activity or success that they have had an influence in generating. Secondly, one doesn’t need to be a sales person to reap the level of financial benefits normally associated with company owners, sales managers and marketers. Thirdly, in Network Marketing we work with, when and for whom we choose. And last but not least, different than in a traditional company, we only work for ourselves and those whose activity generates income for us! We may also choose to work with those which we are generating income for, because, in most cases, they don’t make money unless we do.

How does it work?
In Network Marketing, there are customers and also independent representatives who operate as a home-based business. The customers may also be independent reps. Independent reps can earn management positions if they so desire. Different than in traditional business, each independent representative is given the opportunity and responsibility of both recruiting customers and other independent representatives. Each independent representative is owner, president, and vice-president of marketing for their own home-based network Marketing business.

Network Marketing is a word of mouth business. By spreading the word, the network marketing marketer identifies others who desire to be customers and or independent representatives (home-based business owners). The independent rep helps those newly recruited independent reps build their own home based business by helping them identify other customers and independent reps who desire to own their own home based network Marketing business. In a mature organization, it is normal for there to be 50-100+ customers for each customer/independent representative that you personally refer! Through this duplication and multiplication process each home based business owner can recruit and sponsor a few customers and/or independent representatives and, as a result, generate a sizable organization of consumers and marketers.

Referring
Does this sound like a foreign and awkward activity to you? How many people have you referred to your favorite restaurant or to your favorite movie. How many more have gone because the people you told enjoyed the restaurant or movie and told someone else who went? How much did you get paid? We are all already referring customers everyday! It is just that most of us don’t get paid for it.

The question is not whether we refer customers, the question is whether we are getting paid for the activity!

In network Marketing, customer/independent reps receive an income for “marketing” the products for the company simply by referring other customers! Normally, we receive compensation through 5 – 10 generations of this duplication activity. In addition, there are usually additional performance and leaderships bonus compensation structures! Assuming an association with the right company: Network Marketing is the one of the very few processes I know of where you will earn in network marketing relation to your ability and effort with virtually unlimited potential! Although most people are looking only for a few hundred or few thousand of supplemental monthly income, I personally know, know of, or have met a substantial number of people who earn several tens of thousands of dollars per month from their home-based network Marketing business!

Choosing a Safe Business Opportunity
Once it has been determined that a home-based business is appropriate, and further determined that a home-based Network Marketing business is even more appropriate, the real difficulty is in determining which network Marketing opportunities to become involved in. Without experience in the industry, unless you’re extremely lucky, it is next to impossible to pick a winner on the first try! Unfortunately, it seems that experience in the industry is not always sufficient for the proper evaluation of a network Marketing opportunity. As is the case with traditional business, there are good opportunities and bad opportunities. As is the case with traditional business, unfortunately many people let their emotions cloud their rational judgement when it comes to evaluating a network Marketing company and/or business opportunity!

Evaluation Process
There are certain criteria which must be used rationally when one does an evaluation. Technically, these could be divided into two categories: absolutely necessary characteristics and desirable characteristics. For me, the desirable characteristics are also necessary, therefore, I will not distinguish between the two and will address them in no particular order.

Competent Company Management Team
Normally it is very difficult for us to know any more about the network Marketing company’s management team than what they tell us themselves. The evaluation of the management team only becomes an issue with a new company! If a company has been in business three to five years with a well documented and stable growth record, we really don’t need to waste our time. New network Marketing companies are starting up at a higher rate than ever before. It seems that every person who has ever been successful at network Marketing wants their own company. Surprise, running a network Marketing company is traditional business and new network Marketing companies fail at near the same rate as traditional businesses!

Age of the Company

The most common mistake made by the masses is getting emotionally tied up in the “ground floor opportunity” pitch which caters to our “greed” and the “fear of loss”! If a person is determined to get involved with a new network Marketing company, they should do so because they understand totally the market for the product(s) and the experience of the management team. Being on the ground floor is usually not best because a majority of new companies will fail. Even if the new company does succeed, there will be many adjustments and changes during the initial growth and there usually is a lack of proven marketing procedures, materials, and training support. The attrition rate is usually much higher during those first years because most individuals are not emotionally flexible enough to accept the changes and turmoil. A network Marketing company experiences four basic phases of growth and market penetration. The risk of the company failing during phase one (usually first 3-5 years) is 10-20 time greater than in phase two. Contrary to popular belief, it usually is far better to be involved with a network Marketing company after they’re entered phase two. The risk of their failure is negligible. Their success indicates that their products are acceptable and that their marketing procedures and materials work! Then, either fortunately or unfortunately, our success depends only on ourselves!

Remember, the Vehicle must never be the limiting element in our success!

No Major investment
With the right network Marketing opportunity, one should be able to start their own home-based business for hundreds of dollars, rather than the normal thousands, tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands of dollars usually associated with other traditional businesses which have any serious financial potential!

No Inventory, No Receivables, and No Collections
I will not spend time on these. If you have ever experienced them as an owner, they need no explanation.

No Employees
Employees require a tremendous obligation from the business owner; mentally, emotionally and financially. With network Marketing, other independent distributors in our organization, while working their own home-based business, supply the same benefit to us as employees would to a traditional business. We have no payroll, no benefit overhead, no space requirement, and no management duties other than a moral obligation to help others in their business just as others will help us.

Residual Income – Persistency
Unless you have been a successful network marketer, insurance agent or marketer, author or actor, it is really difficult to understand the tremendous benefit of residual income.

Starting on a part- time basis, a sincere person or couple with desire and persistence can, within a three-to- five year period, build a meaningful residual income to last a lifetime and then some.

Building a residual income is a little like flying a big jet. It takes a significant amount of fuel to get it off the ground, but once it has reached altitude, it can throttle back and fly on a fraction of the fuel needed for takeoffs. The big difference is that a residual income can “fly” seemingly forever with a little refueling along the way. The income stream can be passed from generation to generation.

Network Marketing – How to Go From a JOB to Network Marketing and Is It Worth It?

Transition from a JOB to Network Marketing Can Be Challenging

If you ask a large number of people to create their ultimate business or career in detail, listing the specific things they would like to have and things they would like to avoid, they would most likely have lists that look similar to the ones below:

Likes

Positive atmosphere – Great product/service – Unlimited income – Residual income – Enjoy the people with whom you work – Time freedom – Work is something meaningful – Room for personal growth – Lots of perks – International opportunities – Contribution to worthy causes – Low risk – Low start-up costs – Economy-proof – Tax benefits – Fun!

Dislikes

Boss – Commuting – Alarm clocks – Work schedules – Other employees – Politics, cliques, & compromises – Discrimination – Educational requirements – Lack of benefits – Lack of training – Lack of advancement – Lack of appreciation/respect – Lack of challenge – Lack of support – Not enough pay – Don’t enjoy work duties – No fun!

Since most of us already know what a JOB is, I would also like to explain what Network Marketing is (and isn’t), so we are absolutely clear about our subject. We will begin this overview with a definition of some of the basic marketing terms:

Marketing:

Simply means the moving of a product/service from the manufacturer or provider to the consumer.

Retail Sales:

This is what most people think of as ‘selling’. This is includes product sales from retail stores, groceries, department stores, drug stores, etc.

Direct Sales:

This usually includes product or service demonstrations or door-to-door sales for items such as insurance, cookware, encyclopedias, Fuller Brush, Avon products, as well as home parties for things such as Tupperware, jewelry, scrapbooking, etc. Direct sales may also be done by mail order. With direct selling companies, you work for that company. If you decide to quit and move to another area, you have to start all over.

Network Marketing:

This type of marketing is sometimes referred to as ‘Multi-level Marketing’ (MLM). It is all about moving products and services by building relationships with others (networking). The main difference in Network Marketing and the other types of sales above is that in Network Marketing, you are in business for yourself… not by yourself… providing products and/or services to others.

If you choose to build this type of business with the company who sponsored you, in most cases if you move to another area you can resume building your network without losing the volume of the group that you left behind. In most Network Marketing companies, you are either buying products and/or services from the company you represent at wholesale prices and then providing them to your customers at a retail price (the difference being your profit), OR you are personally trying the products/services yourself and then sharing their benefits with others. Then they can purchase them through your company… usually at a lower price than they are currently paying. You are then paid a percentage on your use as well as on their continued use of those products/services.

When you build your own business by sponsoring and training other motivated persons like yourself, you build a ‘network’ through which to channel the movement of your products and/or services. The money made in this type of opportunity can be life-changing and is primarily made through the network-building activities. But large bonuses and outstanding residual income also comes from the product and service offerings. You get paid over and over for products/services you only had to provide once! Note: if you are operating out of your home, there can also be substantial tax breaks.

Multi-level Marketing (MLM):

This is the older term previously used for what is now referred to as Network Marketing above. It refers to a system of compensation provided to persons on more than one level who are causing the product to move or the service to be provided. (Some of the illegal ‘pyramid schemes’ discussed below and chain distribution schemes/letters have tried to pass themselves off as MLM companies, which has created a great amount of confusion and incorrect assumptions.)

Pyramid Scheme:

Most Network Marketing opportunities are NOT ‘pyramid schemes’. Pyramid schemes are illegal and do not include the movement of either products or services. If a product doesn’t move, you can’t call it ‘marketing’.

View of Pyramid vs. Network Marketing:

Pyramid

Most companies who manufacture a product or provide a service are built and organized in the pyramid shape. The manufacturer/provider is at the top of the pyramid, the sales force is in the middle, and customers are at the bottom. The difference in Pyramid Marketing is not so much that it is built from the top down, as the fact that there is no manufacturing or service at the top and no customer base at the bottom. There is only the person who started the company at the top, and those who are under that person are hired and paid only to recruit other recruiters. Since there are no products and/or services, there are no customers and no value received (other than recruiting bonuses).

Network Marketing (or MLM):

Network Marketing/MLM companies have the same shape and functions as most of those companies above, but in Network Marketing, there is always the movement of either products, services (or both) to the customer, who receives the value of those products/services. Network Marketing is all about moving products and services by building relationships with other people (networking). Network Marketing is a huge business opportunity and has been in our midst for about 35 years. They wouldn’t have been around at all if they were illegal! Some companies that have been around for twenty years or so earned $2 million to $15 million in their first year or two and are planning to do a billion dollars per year in the future. You can begin to see how the right opportunity with the right company could be the road to financial independence!

I do feel that it’s only fair to tell you that opportunities such as these are NOT ‘get rich quick’ schemes. These opportunities require that you have the following traits, at a minimum:

- Motivation – You must have a very large motivator or goal

What is your ‘Why’? Why do you want to succeed? What do you want out of life?… and out of this opportunity?

Are your reasons strong enough to keep those spirits up when you get discouraged… as we all do from time to time?

- A desire to make a difference by helping others make a difference

- You must be ‘coachable’ with a desire and willingness to learn. Your sponsors will always be there to help you whenever you need help, but you must also help yourself by listening and learning daily

- You must have confidence and believe in yourself, your company, your sponsor, and your services and products. (Everybody knows that ‘if you think you can’t do it, you can’t')

- You must maintain a positive helpful attitude… that shows from the inside out… in order to be truly helpful to your customers and those you are teaching (‘Negative Nellies’ don’t do very well in this business… especially since your business is built on a foundation of relationships!

Doctors, lawyers, and attorneys (to name a few) spend years & years after graduating from college to learn their professions. Though the profession of Network Marketing does not take as much time and effort to learn, you must realize that it cannot be learned overnight. You can’t get discouraged after only a few weeks! You will have sponsors helping you every step of the way, but you must study both the network marketing concept and study your company’s products/services to be able to succeed in this business. To be truly successful, you must also be able to teach someone else the same things that you learned in order to help them be more successful. Previous teachers and educators have, in some cases, been more successful in Network Marketing than previous sales professionals.

Most of the people in typical jobs can relate to the amount of freedom that being in Network Marketing could provide on a full-time basis (see the ‘Likes’ list at the beginning of this article), but most are only able to start part-time. The quicker you make the move, the faster you eliminate the ‘Dislikes’ items and begin to achieve the freedoms you deserve. The best way to not just survive, but to thrive in this economy, is through Network Marketing. Companies still must move their products and services. They either have to hire a large, expensive sales force and pay for massive, costly advertising, or utilize Network Marketing to tell their story by word-of-mouth. They can provide support and pay distributors/representatives on a purely performance basis to promote their products. In this economy, word-of-mouth advertising continues to work better than any other form of promotion.

The ‘Catch’ to Network Marketing is learning to accept a temporary loss of social esteem from uninformed people who don’t fully understand the relatively new concept of relationship marketing. People will think less of you not only because they are ‘stuck’ in the old way of doing business, but because of what they have heard from their friends/acquaintances to be true about ‘Network Marketing’ or ‘MLM opportunities’. These pre-conceived beliefs have taught them to think of Network Marketing as a sort of glorified lottery ticket with scratch off numbers representing the friends & family that they think ‘might be good at this sort of thing’. When their numbers don’t win, they give up, and end with nothing… just like a lottery ticket.

Those who didn’t take this opportunity seriously usually have told their friends: ‘Look, I’ve been there. I’ve done it. I talked to every person I know, and Network Marketing just doesn’t work. Save your money!” This becomes another lost opportunity probably because they didn’t look at it as though they were learning a new profession or starting a new business. They were just hoping to ‘get lucky’.

The other objection you will likely hear is: ‘Don’t get involved with that. It’s a ‘Pyramid Scheme’.” They may or may not know that pyramid schemes are illegal. They probably are not aware that Network Marketing would not have been flourishing for the last 35 years if it were illegal. They also probably don’t realize that the pyramid’s shape and framework can describe most all businesses. Only the companies with no products, services, or customers, where the distributors/representatives of that company receive income only for recruiting other recruiters are typically in the category of ‘Pyramid Schemes’.

If you can deal with (and learn to welcome the challenge of) the rejection from the people who have these misconception of Network Marketing, then companies will pay you an unlimited amount of money if you can learn to help the blind people see. If you decide to embrace Network Marketing, along with its inherent problems, then you need to learn to be a professional in the field. Below are some of the phases of Network Marketing.

Posers – those who treat this profession as a lottery ticket… hoping to ‘hit it big’ with as little effort as possible. You may start in this position, but if you are still there after 90 days, you had better ‘make a new plan, Stan!’

Amateurs – they focus on different things, though still a lot of focus is on ‘luck’ – looking for that one sign-up that will make you rich. The other focus is on timing, positioning, training, and shortcuts. Basically, all quick marketing tactics are learned and utilized.

Professionals – Wikipedia definition: A person who is paid to undertake a specialized set of tasks and to complete them for a fee. The possible definition of a Network Marketing Professional is: A person who is an expert at the skills required to build a large and successful Network Marketing organization.

Excitement & passion are wonderful and very necessary, but so is professional knowledge and skill. You must know all aspects of not only the products/services you represent, the industry of your products/services, but how to best operate in the Network Marketing profession as well.

It has been said that there are 3 elements to a Network Marketing business:

1. Company’s products and/or services

2. Company’s compensation plan, training, & support

3. YOU

The first two elements remain the same for everyone, so the only variable that can cause either success or failure is the third element – YOU! Becoming a professional means deciding to never blame anyone or anything else for your failures. Accept responsibility for what only YOU create. Use your company as a resource… never as an excuse.

When starting in Network Marketing, according to Eric Worre’s “Go Pro’, there are seven skills necessary to build a huge business:

1. Finding prospects

2. Inviting prospects to understand your opportunity and/or product

3. Presenting your opportunity/product to your prospects

4. Following up with your prospects

5. Helping your prospects become individual business owners/representatives (or to become customers, if they are not interested in the opportunity)

6. Helping your new IBO/Rep get started right by mentoring them

7. Promoting events

Everyone has heard the saying: ‘Anything worthwhile takes time’. This is true in Network Marketing just as it is in any other business. This is not a ‘get rich quick’ scheme. If a person starts a traditional business, they expect to break even in their first few years and possibly pay back their initial investment over the first 5 years. When a person starts a Network Marketing business, they expect to get their money back in the first month, make a profit in the second month, and get rich by the third month. When that doesn’t happen, which is quite often the case, they blame Network Marketing. We DO have a better way to build a business, but it does not have a ‘magic formula’. Anything of value takes time to develop. You have to personally grow to the level you want to achieve. Watch those who have succeeded, learn from them whenever possible, and model their behavior. To earn more, you need to become more. Work on your skills and quit depending on luck, timing, or positioning. Don’t try to re-invent the wheel. The training and systems that your company has in place & uses daily are there for a reason: they have been proven to work. Find people in your company who have mastered the skills that you are lacking and watch them or ask for help directly. Study the many audio and video programs dealing with being successful in Network Marketing (try some Jim Rohn tapes).

With all of the information available on this subject, it is very difficult not to get distracted and forget your main mission of finding prospects, inviting, presenting, following up, closing, getting people started right, and promoting events. Find a balance between the learning and doing… if you spend all of your time learning, no prospects get added, no product/services are moved, and you make no money! If you want to learn how to talk to people on the phone, then talk to more people on the phone. Don’t wait until you have complete knowledge of something before you attempt it. Action should be the center of your focus. Focus on how MANY learning experiences you can have, rather than focusing on whether they were ‘good’ or ‘bad’ experiences. The more experiences you have, the more you learn.

Choose a skill you want to develop, make a plan, do your plan, then review your results for future improvement. As luck would have it, teaching a subject is the best way to learn it, so start by teaching all you have learned to your new individual business owners/representatives, and see how fast you can help bring them get up to speed in this new profession. It will help them while it helps you!

Watch the type of people with whom you associate – especially in the beginning phases of learning the business. Jim Rohn teaches the ‘Law of Association’, which basically says that you will become the average of the 5 people with whom you spend the most time. You think, act, talk, dress, and even earn as they do. This can be scary… but it is true! Get away from toxic people around you or they will permanently try to keep you down. Spend more time with positive people who have similar dreams and goals and those who have the skills and knowledge that you feel are necessary for you to learn.

In summary, we all ultimately have the choice of staying in a JOB and fulfilling someone else’s dreams, or accepting the challenges of learning a new way to achieve our dreams (and some of us have put that off for far too long!). Don’t let anyone kid you… this is not a decision to be taken lightly! The emotional experiences of Network Marketing can be challenging. It requires HARD work, consistency, focus, and patience to achieve and maintain long-term success, rather than luck, timing, positioning, or signing that ‘magic’ person. Though this may be hard work, it is good work that helps people achieve their dreams, and is the best way that I know for the average person to enjoy financial freedom.

Does Network Marketing Offer People a Real Chance of Creating Financial Security and Independence

This unique business has millions of distributors doing billions of pounds in sales annually. It is conducted in nearly 100 countries around the world. It has been praised by leading business people and also by heads of state for boosting the economy. Yet most people in the UK are still totally confused by it.

Network marketing has created many millionaires and spread that excitement to millions more, but just what are the realities of this business?
So what is network marketing?

Network Marketing is based on the concept of ‘networking’. We all have a circle of people we know through the circumstances of our daily lives and each of these people will have their own circle of acquaintances, colleagues, family and friends. Network Marketing involves tapping into these networks not only to sell product but also to offer the business opportunity to potential new distributors who then start the process of developing their own networks for selling and recruiting.

In network marketing, services and products are distributed to the final consumers through a network of independently contracted distributors or agents (also known as consultants). These distributors are then financially rewarded in two ways: a) from commissions and overrides from sales generation and b) for their contribution to the building up of the network by getting new ‘recruits’ to be downline distributors. The network marketing business model works because of the price differential that is generated from the distributor to the consumer. If the recruits of the one you recruited generate sales, you get a percentage of the price differential for the sales, and so on.

Network marketing is usually associated with pyramid or ponzi scams. This is because the main structure of the two models can be quite similar at first glance. However, if one takes a closer look at the models, there is one big and defining difference between them. The main difference between a legal network marketing firm and a pyramid scam is that the first one offers real products and services, the latter only promises opportunities and generates money from the cost of entry of the recruited members. A pyramid scam re-channels the incoming funds from the fees that newly recruited ‘members’ pays for entering the scheme and does not generate any kind of profits from other endeavors. The masterminds of the scam benefits while leaving most, if not all, of the downlines in financial burdens.

o As the networks widen, so the individual leader benefits not only from their own sales but also a percentage of the sales from their network. As more people join the network, so residual income increases.
o network marketing allows its distributors not only to network outwards in order to sell the product but also to benefit from their downline’s downline, either to a limited depth or ad infinitum. However, the two terms tend to be used fairly indiscriminately.
o As with any other home-based business, distributors need to work hard and have courage and determination. Finding a good sponsor is just as important as finding an interesting product and a good compensation plan which offers flexibility and just reward for effort. Contrary to expectation, the newcomer has the same potential for success as the long-term sponsor provided that the necessary research and skills training takes place. It is not necessary to be ‘in at the beginning’ and in some cases it may prove more difficult and risky to join at the beginning than to join a plan which has reached a more mature phase. Network Marketing is particularly suited to married women with family commitments as it offers them an opportunity to start a business on a part time basis with very little capital. The opportunity now exists for enterprising women to use their talents and the skills gained from motherhood to build businesses based both on selling and on finding and supporting the efforts of others.

There are 2 trends that are driving this industry forward:
a. General shift towards self-employment.
b. People’s quest for a better lifestyle – They no longer want to work 40 or 50 hours a week just to pay bills.

For many people Network Marketing is the only way to Create Financial Freedom in the UK today.

One business magazine wrote “Network marketing is so far ahead of the competition when it comes to money and lifestyle that is in a league of its own.”

With a traditional career you only get paid for the hours that you work. When you leave your employment your monthly salary stops and all you are left with is experience and perhaps a pension, which is rarely enough to live on. Network marketing is entirely different – Your efforts are multiplied by helping people succeed with their businesses, so that your investment comes back many times over, to create time and financial freedom. The longer you work at it, the easier it becomes. The more you help others become successful, the more successful you become.

“Network marketing offers people an opportunity to build a business of their own, with a small amount of capital, in their own time and with the help of a sponsor who is willing to help them every step of the way”. Prime Time Magazine

As you leverage your efforts you create a ‘residual income’ – by helping enough people become successful. Over time, you can build a truly passive income that keeps paying you long after you have done the work.

Consider this-
According to a study conducted in the USA in 1995, ‘Out of 100 people who are working at age 25, by the age of 65…

o 63% are dependent on Social Security, friends or relatives
o 29% are dead
o 3% are still working
o 4% have adequate capital for retirement
o 1% are wealthy

Questions normally asked about Network Marketing .

Q.Can Network Marketing be done successfully part-time?

A. Absolutely…it’s very common in fact. You can start your Network Marketing business on a part-time basis without giving up your current source of income until your Network Marketing business is generating the income you require. And the best part is that you can continue to operate indefinitely on a part-time basis. What would you do if you were financially independent and most of your time was free to do with as you pleased? This is why so many people are flocking to Network Marketing. And that’s why we say that Network Marketing puts the freedom back in free enterprise!

Q. Do I have to sell products door-to-door or hold parties or meetings?

A. No. One of the greatest features of Network Marketing is that success can be achieved using a wide variety of methods. You choose the methods that YOU are comfortable with. Within Tiscali we use amazing internet technologies . No delivering products, no collecting money, no party plan meetings!

Q. Isn’t Network Marketing one of those pyramid schemes?

A. Definitely not. Though Network Marketing and pyramid schemes do share some similarities, there’s a very important difference that makes the latter illegal. You see, in pyramid schemes, income is generated solely on the process of recruiting others into the pyramid. Sometimes a product or service of questionable value is involved(that is never retailed to the general public by the way), but generally what you’re buying is the right to recruit others into the scheme. This is illegal. Also, in pyramid schemes, those who get in first and who are at the top win, while everybody else loses. In a legitimate Network Marketing company, on the other hand, distributors are paid only on product movement; not on recruiting. Both at wholesale and retail. There’s also compensation based on the training and managing of your marketing team. And unlike illegal pyramids, in Network Marketing, no matter where you’re positioned or when you join, you can advance to the very highest income levels and even make more money than those above you in the network.

Q. I’m not a salesperson, so this probably isn’t for me.

A. Actually, studies have shown that people with no sales experience do great in Network Marketing. In fact, the studies show that they often do better than those with previous sales experience. This is because Network Marketing isn’t about selling; at least not in the way most people think of selling. There’s no place for arm-twisting or high-pressure techniques in Network Marketing. Rather, Network Marketing is simply about sharing the concepts and products of your Network Marketing company that you use and you’re excited about.

Q. How much money can I make?

A. The bottom line is you’ll get out of it what you put into it. It works…if you do. But that’s the beauty of it, too; you are in control; it’s up to you how far you take it. And don’t forget, the income you create in Network Marketing is residual. This basically means that for the work you do just today, you have the potential to earn money not only for today but for years to come.

Q. What’s so important about sponsoring in this business anyway?

A. It’s like this… it doesn’t matter how intelligent, rich, energetic, or dynamic you are;we are all limited to the same 24 hours a day. By sponsoring, however, you can overcome this limitation. By sponsoring, you can virtually clone yourself and have dozens, hundreds, even thousands of people all working indirectly on your behalf on their time and receive a cut of everything they do. Sponsoring also builds your security in this business. Why? In most traditional businesses, what happens if you become ill or disabled and are unable to service your customers? Or perhaps you just want to take a nice long vacation? Whatever the case, you could lose most if not all of your income overnight because it relies on you being there. That’s not owning your own life and that’s certainly not financial freedom.Through the process of sponsoring and building a downline in Network Marketing, however, you can create total financial freedom for yourself. With a downline of independent business people working for you, you no longer have all your eggs in one basket. On the contrary, because each person in your downline has a vested interest in continuing and building their own businesses, you create an income that is non-dependent upon you – an income that can continue, even grow, indefinitely with or WITHOUT you.

Q. Do I have to stock and deliver products?

A. Most Network Marketing companies today allow its distributors (and often even retail customers) to order direct from the company. The company simultaneously tracks your commissions, credits your account, and automatically sends you a check for the total amount due.

Q. Isn’t Network Marketing just another “get-rich-quick” scheme?

A. No, “get-rich-quick” is a fairy tale. It just doesn’t happen in the real world. Sure, there are a few exceptions, but they’re extremely rare. In fact, if overnight riches is your dream, your odds are probably better playing your state lottery than doing it in business – any business.

Q. I couldn’t get involved in Network Marketing. It’s not a “real” business.

A. It’s very real. Network Marketing is now a multi-billion dollar industry involving millions of independent business people and major U.S. corporations like Colgate-Palmolive, Gillette, Sprint, and MCI, just to name a few. And it’s a rapidly-growing international force, too, with thousands of Network Marketing companies already in operation in Canada, Mexico, Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Basin.

Q. If Network Marketing is so great, why aren’t more people involved?

A. That can be summed up in one word: misconceptions. The general public just doesn’t understand what Network Marketing is or its potential. But that’s finally starting to change. Right now it’s estimated that only about 2% of the U.S. population is involved in Network Marketing. But industry experts predict that that number could climb to 10% by the end of this decade. You can position yourself to take advantage of this trend by getting started in Network Marketing now. The timing is great for getting involved!

Q. What are the costs involved in starting and operating this kind of business?

A. Virtually all Network Marketing companies require you to first purchase some kind of “Starter Kit.” This is a one-time cost, and is usually less than $100. In addition, of course, you’ll have monthly expenses for office supplies, postage, advertising, etc. A total of £50-£150 pounds per month is probably a realistic expenditure to expect. Anyone can afford this amount of money without jeopardising their current lifestyle while they’re trying to build a better one. And here’s some more good news – most, if not all of that, is tax deductible.

Q. What if I can’t afford to buy extra products.

A. You’re not supposed to. Network Marketing companies just want you to replace those products you now buy elsewhere with the equivalent-but-higher-quality products your Network Marketing company manufactures. By doing so, you’ll likely save money since you now get to buy at wholesale. Plus, it only makes sense to buy from yourself – to buy from “your own store.”

Q. I’ve tried Network Marketing before and it didn’t work for me.

A. Let’s say you’ve just moved into a new city and you decided to go out to eat that evening. Unfortunately, the food at the restaurant you picked turned out to be horrible. But just because of this one bad experience, you surely wouldn’t swear off eating at all the other restaurants in the city, would you? Of course not! Network Marketing is no different. There are fair Network Marketing companies, great Network Marketing companies, and, yes, even some bad Network Marketing companies. But Network Marketing works! You just need to link up with the right company and the right opportunity at the right time. See MLM RockStars.

Q. I don’t have the cash right now to get involved in Network Marketing.

A. Get it! If a brand new £60,000 Mercedes were offered to you for £1000, would you find the money somehow to buy it? Go and get the money because your own Network Marketing business could be worth a lot more than that Mercedes.

Q. I can see how others have become successful, but I don’t think I could do it.

A. People of every age, every background, from every walk of life are making it in Network Marketing today. If you have the desire, you can succeed in Network Marketing.

Q. If I would happen to be sponsored by someone half way across the country, how do I get questions answered? And what about training?

A. Free consultation and assistance from your sponsor, other upline associates(and often the corporate staff of your Network Marketing company) is a phone call away.Faxes, E-Mail, Voice Mail, and other new technologies also provide fast and efficient communications between upline and downline…no matter where they’re located. As for long-distance training, this is easily handled through video training CD’s, audio taped seminars, books, online computer and telephone conferences, etc.

Q. I just don’t have the time to start a Network Marketing business. I’ve got too many irons in the fire already.

A. That’s precisely why you should consider Network Marketing. Besides creating financial freedom, Network Marketing is specifically designed to create personal freedom for you so that you can do all the things in life you really want to do that you don’t have the time for now.

Q. Don’t you have to get in at the beginning to make any real money? Doesn’t saturation eventually occur?

A. That’s another big misconception that’s been perpetuated by the media for years. The fact is, there has never been any evidence produced that “saturation” occurs in Network Marketing. This very topic was debated in U.S. courts at one time and that was the conclusion by the courts.Secondly, realise that because Network Marketing is still a very young industry, there are hundreds of millions of prospects worldwide who have never even heard of Network Marketing. It will take years to even make a dent in that. But here’s the main reason why “saturation” is a myth: Timing. In the U.S. alone, there are tens of thousands of brand new prospects “hatched” every year.Part of that figure is young adults who have only just reached the stage in their lives where they’d consider (and could afford) to start a business. Then there are the thousands who have just experienced a major shift in the direction of their lives because of changes at work, at home, etc. These same people, who just months before could in no way, shape, or form be considered prospects for Network Marketing, NOW are suddenly very open to the proposition. And this is happening constantly. Bottom line: The market is wide open and the potential is enormous.

Network Marketing Recruiting Secrets Revealed

In this article, we’re going to cover how you can maximize your network marketing recruiting efforts while dramatically increasing the retention rate and overall performance of your downline. I am not going to sell you on anything whatsoever. I am not going to attempt to convince you to join my opportunity and I am not going to hold anything back on what you need to do to be successful. This information is my gift to you with absolutely no strings attached. Why I am giving this information away for free? My satisfaction comes from knowing that I have made a difference in the lives of people that are struggling with a home-based business opportunity and I know how that feels. It also means that my chosen industry of network marketing will continue to be respected as a viable and logical alternative to conventional business and employment.

As you find yourself understanding the principles I’m going to outline, you’re going to have a clearer picture of exactly what you need to do to make it to the top of your company’s compensation plan. Many of these secrets will doubtlessly be very scary to some people. However, if you’re the kind of person who is ready for success, you’re going to benefit from this information by leaps and bounds.

The cornerstone secret to recruiting for your network marketing opportunity is integrity. As obvious as this sounds, there is much more to it. When a person is recruiting for their network marketing opportunity they don’t set out to give their prospects the wrong idea of what network marketing is (I least I hope they don’t) but what sometimes ends up happening, is that their level of excitement coupled with a misunderstanding of what network marketing is and is not, ends up leading their new independent representatives down the wrong road. This leads to frustration and ultimately ends with a collapse of their downline. With the knowledge I’m going to give here, you’ll be able to avoid this unforeseen pitfall.

I have been hugely successful in network marketing, but it took many trials and errors before discovering how to succeed in this lucrative business, as well as how to keep people in my downline and help them succeed. In one opportunity I was able to recruit at least one person a day starting from day one, but I found that they would soon fall off out of abject frustration that they were not able to produce the results I was able to. At the time, I didn’t clearly understand what I was doing wrong but over the years the secrets to network marketing success have slowly been revealed to me.

What can you do to make sure that when you’re out recruiting for your network marketing opportunity that people will stay involved and that you’ll be successful? You must understand exactly what network marketing is and who actually makes it to the top of your company’s compensation plan.

Here are the secrets that you’ll need to know and that you’ll want to cover with your current downline and future prospects:

Network marketing is neither a job nor a get rich quick pyramid scheme. This may seem like a no-brainer like many of the other secrets I’ll be going over, but bare with me and I’ll explain the reason why this fact can be so deeply forgotten or misunderstood that the obvious becomes hidden. Understand that most people-even after they’ve heard your presentation about starting a home-based business-still may not fully understand what huge differences rest between a home-based business and a job. People who enter your organization who are stuck on job-think will have put forth the investment to get started and yet they mistake the independent representative application with a time-sheet for clocking in to work. At many jobs, you clock in and regardless of whether you do anything or not you will still get paid (so long as you’re not caught slacking off too much). When a person is running their own business they will make absolutely nothing unless they market their business. Once you grow your residual income and the momentum of your downline, then you can relax…and do it quite comfortably! However, initially it’s going to mean working hard…very hard. You’ve probably noticed the strange phenomenon that almost every single network marketing company has someone somewhere complaining that that particular company is a scam, yet your company probably has outstanding products or services and they probably have oceans of people who are making money and who are excited about being involved. Pyramid schemes are illegal, and if a company is found to be a pyramid scheme it is quickly shutdown by the government. So why do some people seem so unhappy with network marketing? This is the secret that fast food companies, recliner chair manufactures, air conditioning manufacturers and insurance salesman figured out. The average person wants satisfaction right now. The average person will always opt for the most relaxing position in life. The average person doesn’t want to sweat and the average person wants to be assured that so long as they keep doing the same thing every month, the money will be there. Unfortunately, if a person has not been properly informed about what it really means to own their own home business, they will likely give up and join the naysayers. To be successful in network marketing a person must be patient as they work each day to build toward their success. They must be willing to step outside of their comfort zone. They must be willing to sweat a little by taking a chance on their own self-determination and they must realize that the size of their network marketing paycheck hinges not upon clocking in, but the courage to face down every rejection while moving with excitement and urgency toward the manifestation of their dreams. Yes, it is hard work. However, the upside to network marketing recruiting is that if you’ve been trained by a quality company, or upline leader in your opportunity, you’ll find that working hard in your network marketing opportunity can be fun and exciting.

Network marketing success hinges upon hard work. A person cannot buy their way to top of a network marketing opportunity, it must be earned. Yes, it is possible to make it to the top of your company’s network marketing compensation plan by simply buying every prospect that you talk to a starter kit out of your own pocket and paying for all their customers (which would take a whole lot of money and very little work), but even if a person has that kind of money to waste, they’d find that their downline would collapse. The absolute only way anyone every makes it to the top of a network marketing opportunity and sustains and continues to grow their massive downline is by making a commitment to do network marketing recruiting the right way and by nurturing their downline. Nurturing your downline means being available to help them grow their own organizations. Recruiting the right way means putting your nose to the grindstone; putting your best foot forward to attract and present your opportunity to the right people, and never, ever, ever letting up on your success. If I told you I’d hire you for a job and that it entails working extremely hard almost every day of every month and that your reward will be to that get to work like a dog for many, many more years to come, would you take the job? Most people have agreed to that. Would it scare you if I told you that you’re going to have to work extremely hard over the next year to four years in your network marketing opportunity, but your reward will be that you’ll be able to walk away from your job, would you stick with your opportunity? If you answered “yes”, then lets proceed…because you already possess the characteristics that are at the nucleus of what makes top producers tick (courage and self-determination).

Network marketing recruiting takes a highly-motivated and disciplined personality. This means that a person must have the discipline to monitor their level of motivation and if they ever find themselves falling below optimum levels of excitement, they will immediately do whatever is necessary to change course. That could mean taking the time to watch your company’s opportunity videos again and again everyday, so that you’ll have a fresh feeling of excitement and be motivated to make it happen. It could mean making a “success collage” created out of pictures of the places you want to go, the kind of house you’d like to live in or the kind of car you’d like to drive. It could mean calling up your upline leaders for some uplifting advice. It could mean consistently listening to motivational speakers, playing their audios at home and in the car or watching their videos on YouTube. To reach your success goals you must be motivated. To be motivated you must be excited to make it happen. Excitement is contagious, and it’s the single most powerful ingredient for network marketing recruiting success.

Network marketing is not a pyramid scheme. People at the top of a network marketing organization do not necessarily make lots of money. What? Bare with me because this is another secret that might sound scary to some people but as I explain it you’re going to begin to understand exactly why you should be excited about this simple fact. Here’s how it works: If Alfred recruits Bob and Bob recruits Cassandra, we can imagine them in a straight line from top to bottom (A, B, C) with Alfred standing at the top of the organization, Bob standing on the level below him, and Cassandra last. Alfred goes wild, puts his nose to the grindstone and makes things happen. Cassandra is off the charts with her network marketing recruiting efforts; she’s always excited to talk to people about her opportunity and ends up building a massive organization. If we’d look back at Alfred, whose standing at the top, we’d see a massive organization below him due to his own efforts and multiplied by Cassandra’s diligence and hard work…but what about Bob? Bob only recruited Cassandra, he decided he’d stay involved because he loved the products and services, but he didn’t get promoted to any kind of prestigious title in the opportunity’s compensation plan. Why? Because network marketing isn’t a pyramid scheme and it isn’t a job. In a true network marketing company you can have someone above you who makes less money than you do. The percentages and bonuses you earn in a true network marketing opportunity are based upon your earned position. The keyword here is “earned”. If a person does not acquire the customers or independent representatives that they need to quality for their opportunity’s higher earned position they’ll earn a bit more money from the efforts of someone like Cassandra, but it will be pennies compared to what Cassandra earns herself. Yes, Bob is at the top of the huge organization but it’s Alfred and Cassandra who are making the real money, and rightfully so. In a conventional business, whether large or small, a person’s job position in the corporate pyramid linearly dictates how much money they make. In almost every case, in a corporation, the people at the top make the big bucks and the people at the bottom make much, much, much less. Network marketing rewards the people who are hungry for success regardless of where they are located in the organization’s structure. Think about that.

You have to talk to people. This one also seems completely obvious and because of that I never saw it as something I had to point out in my early days of network marketing. Due to leaving this out, many people in my downline would complain that they weren’t making any money. I couldn’t understand what was happening, but now I can share this with you: To be successful in network marketing you have to be willing to talk to people and share your opportunity in as many different ways as you can possibly think of. Have you put the link to your opportunity website in your email signature? Have you sent a short, gentle but excited announcement to every person you can think of, informing them that your home business is open for business? Have you made a YouTube video proudly and excitedly talking about all the neat stuff about your opportunity’s products or services? Do you have the courage to give a brochure or a DVD to a complete stranger? Make a commitment right now to inform your downline that to be successful in their own home-based business they must let as many people as possible know that they’re in business. Reveal to people that the secret to making money in network marketing is talking, and those who keep on talking are the ones who make it to the top.

The average person will not get rich with network marketing. This fact sounds pretty depressing when you first read it, but let me ask you: Do you consider yourself an average person? I can already answer that question. No, you are not an average person because if you were, you wouldn’t be reading this. An above average person is willing to take the time to invest in themselves and you’ve invested in yourself by seeking out knowledge that you can use to propel your business forward. Read this network marketing recruiting secret again and realize that it doesn’t have anything to do with whether or not you are going to be hugely successful in network marketing. You must refuse to be average. You must refuse to back down or give up. The average person is not self-motivated or excited about putting in hard work even if it means literally changing the future history of their family tree. Therefore, yes, it is an absolute fact that the average person in network marketing will only make a little money or no money at all. The average person doesn’t have anything to do with you or what you are capable of. You have made it this far. I have gut-checked you over and over, and you’ve made it this far. Are you going to give up or are you going to take the bull by the horns and prove that I am right when I say that you are not just another average person, but an above average success story in the making?

You must not be afraid to sell. A person must have no fear of the word “salesman” and no dread of the concept of “selling”. There are life-saving devices in hospitals because a salesman had the courage to stand by his product. If you know someone whose life was saved by a defibrillator, thank the doctor, nurse or paramedic…and don’t forget the salesman who sold their hospital the unit. If someone asks, “Are you trying to sell me something,” respond with excitement, “You bet I am…and you absolutely have to take a look at this!” Salesman are the highest paid people in the world. Why anyone would not want to be a salesman beats me. However, in network marketing you are selling your products or services but you are marketing your business opportunity. Successful network marketing recruiting means knowing the difference between these two areas of your business.

Successful network marketing recruiting doesn’t mean chasing people. Now that we’ve moved beyond the word “salesman” we can get to the pinnacle of network marketing recruiting secrets. In terms of getting people to sign up for an opportunity, a person must understand that successful network marketers do not sell people on an opportunity. You sell people products or services and selling them on a product or service means that you might need to convince them that it is superior to the competition or that it is otherwise something that will enrich their lives. Successful network marketers do not sell people network marketing opportunities, they market them. Marketing means inviting and inviting means we’re giving out invitations. An invitation, although it can certainly be an open invitation, typically means that a person has been assessed and selected to participate in an event or organization. I have absolutely no interest in chasing anybody to do anything. I will invite them. I will market my opportunity by letting as many people as possible know that the opportunity is here; that it exists, but it’s up to them to accept or reject the invitation. To be successful in network marketing a person must grow an awareness of the existence of their opportunity and let people make up their own minds. Almost everyone I had to convince to make an investment in themselves didn’t make any money no matter how much I tried to help them. I found myself not wanting to help them because they were so negative and required too much of my energy to motivate. On the other hand, those who are invited to watch a DVD, invited to listen to a business opportunity briefing or invited to click on a link, and who decide to get involved, are the people you will want to help make it to the top with you…and they are the ones who are going to help you get it to the top!

I’ve given you the knowledge that I wish I had years ago. Now it’s up to you to dig down deep within yourself and find the courage to make it happen.

So what you need are ways to generate leads quickly and generate cash flow early in the process. To do that you need tools, training and a system that puts it all together. And it takes work. Part of the system has to be instruction and training in how to make it all work and how to develop your personal work plan.

Chiropractor – A Health Care Invention

A chiropractor is defined as a health care device with a professional touch for the diagnosis and intensive treatment of neuromuscular disorders. Their emphasis is on neuromuscular disorders, especially spine.

Most of the chiropractors are used as a pain reliever for the patients. That is why it has been given the title of being an alternative medicine to the subjected treatment.

Chiropractors firmly and honestly believe in the kind of relationship that developed between our nervous system and spine, this does not come as a surprise as we have already mentioned that the major area of focus for the chiropractor is the spine.

Here is the listing of few of the benefits received from Chiropractic health care

1. A great boost for stress reliever

It is a well known fact that too much of stress will always result in a bad outcome. Neither is it good for health nor is it good for our well being. When our nervous system moves out a bit from the track and our skeletal system seems to have shaken off from their proper position, there are very high possibilities that your entire body will feel out of balance as well. This is what will lead to stress in your entire functioning of the body. Here is when the functioning of a Chiropractor comes into use. It helps in balancing that stress and your body is immediately made to come back to its normal balance. Once you are made to adjust to this functioning you will feel much more equipped to manage this stress if it happens to arise again.

2. Posture perfection by Chiropractor usage

By using this chiropractor over a considerable period of time, these chiropractor adjustments can help in the alignments of the spine and brings a noticeable change in your posture. This is distinctly helpful when it comes to aligning the curve on your neck. As soon as you get into your working in an office phase, you have to spend hours after hours in front of a computer. Due to this from a very young age, people are seen to be having neck issues. If you continue a regular and dutifully maintained use of the chiropractor, you can improve your body posture in no time.

3. Moods are taken care of automatically

When with time your body gets adjusted with the working procedure of the chiropractor, your entire body gets balanced. The entire chemistry of the body is brought back on track. A lot of people who have not had the best of luck in chemical balance gain a lot from the chiropractic care. Depression which is a very serious mental condition also sees an immense improvement in the moods of the sufferer. So you see how a chiropractor is creating wonders in your mood related cases as well which are in a way related to the functioning of your entire body.

Thus we provide you with a gist of all that you can mainly expect from the usage of a chiropractor. It is efficient and it is useful and it is interlinked with many a thing’s improvement.
